What is "Creative Living"?

When I say the words “creative living” I can almost see the connotations it conjures.  Paint splatters are involved, for sure. Maybe some kind of bohemian, nomadic lifestyle. Bare feet. Everyone sitting in a circle singing kumbaya and chanting. But that’s not at all what I have in mind.

Actually I’m pretty traditional, and while I do write and paint (hello @thisismyartgig peeps!) i don’t immediately scream “look at me, I’m creative!” in any aesthetic way. But the arts are a very important part of who I am and my values.

Creativity isn’t some club to belong to, it’s a way of looking at the world.

To me, it’s fostering your individual personality and interests to guide your life and being imaginative, resourceful, and present in the world around you. It’s the purest form of self expression both in what you can create and what you choose to experience and surround yourself with.

Creative living is living free, and true to ourselves. And there’s no wrong way to do it.
