Starbucks | Fall On Call

The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte has long been synonymous with the start of Fall, but Fall 2020 was different - it was the height of the Pandemic. Knowing people couldn’t physically do their favorite fall rituals, we brought Fall to them, digitally.

The Fall on Call hotline was our little dose of escapism, helping transport fans into all the fall feels with a PSL in hand.

(*A production bonus - using a combination of basic audio, existing assets, and illustration-driven thinking, we were able to create content during a time when on-set production was at a standstill due to the pandemic.)

By dialing 1-833-GET-FALL, fans could hear a variety of prompts that will transport them into one of their favorite seasonal activities, including a crackling fire, leaves crunching, hearing flannel on repeat, or even some PSL-inspired mantras.

 
 

Driving FANS TO DIAL IN

Our digital content gave a visual taste of the hotline - and the fall we were all craving.

To drive awareness and encourage fans to dial in, we leveraged design and illustration to create fun sensorial content that would give you a dose of the hotline in bite-sized content, without leaving the comfort (and safety) of your couch.


DRIVING PRODUCT TRIAL

Since our fans couldn’t physically go to a pumpkin patch, take a hayride, or meet up over a PSL, we brought those experiences to them, digitally.

Through a hybrid remote product shoot, we were able to create social content that playfully transported our fans into a fun and surreal pumpkin world that made trying the drinks only a tap away.

We also launched the brand on TikTok during its most iconic PSL season.
